Herland Roots is a ¾ acre market garden nestled in the heart of the Cornish countryside, in Gwinear on the outskirts of Hayle in West Cornwall. Our produce is grown in an ecological and organic way, following ‘no dig’ practices and without the use of synthetic fertilisers or pesticides.
Herland Roots was born out of a desire to grow nutritious and delicious food, freshly harvested and delivered to people in the local community. We’re growing real honest food, which is seasonal, fresh and packed full of nutrients. We produce a wide variety of vegetables in our market garden, and we are driven by our desire to connect people back to where their food comes from.
Mark founded Herland Roots initially as a passion project in Spring 2020.
Our market garden is founded on principles of growing ecologically sound food, in an organic and regenerative way.
A small family farm in West Cornwall, Herland Farm has been farmed by the same family for generations.
