Medjoul dates from Palestine
Medjoul dates are known as the ‘King of Dates’ due to their size and rich caramel succulence.
Both gourmet and wholesome, they are high in fibre and potassium, with a natural sweetness that makes them a delicious treat any time of the day. They’re the perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee, an indulgent addition to desserts and stews, and delicious with a cheeseboard.
In 2018, Zaytoun’s Medjoul dates were awarded a prestigious Great Taste Award and the judges commended the high quality, describing them as:
“These Medjoul dates are fleshy and succulent with a wonderful caramelised flavour.”
Zaytoun Medjoul dates are grown by Palestinian farmers in the Jordan Valley. We source from Palestinian companies who buy from farmers to store and pack their dates ready for export.
How do you serve Medjoul dates?
We split them, take out the stone and eat them as an indulgent, healthy snack. They’re also delicious stuffed with a Palestinian almond, a chunk of chocolate or a spoonful of nut-butter. And they’re ideal for baking and in raw energy bars.
